Understanding

This Statement of Work (SoW) is an addendum to SoW ADDA006. It provides additional clarification of the Services and Deliverables that the Supplier will deliver to the Customer under SoW ADDA006. This addendum SoW has been raised following dialogue and agreement between the Supplier, and Gautam Verma and Mohamed Abdullah Almadhani at the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Enablement (DGE).

G42 is a UAE-based firm with an ongoing service agreement in place with the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Enablement. The principal aim of this agreement is to ensure that Truly Intelligent Business delivers the specified scope of services and deliverables to the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Enablement via G42.

Validity

This Statement of Work is an addendum, and inherits the validity of SoW ADDA006.


Objectives

This Statement of Work is aligned to the following objectives of the Customer:

  1. Work towards defining a strategy containing the vision, mission, and goals of the envisioned Enterprise Architecture and Data Governance Department.

  2. Work towards defining a business plan for how the Insights Architecture and Data Governance Department strategy may be realised.


Engagement Scope

In addition to the Services set out in SoW ADDA006, Truly Intelligent Business will supply the Customer with the following Services in development of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Data Governance (DG) Departments:

Fifteen (15) days of professional services engaged in advising on and supporting the development of the Deliverables.

A description of the value that will be delivered by DEA by implementing the EA governance model. Highlighting value that will be created associated with the key domains identified, common mistakes that the EA governance model will help to avoid and providing an input for prioritisation of capability development for the EA governance model.

Only value creation associated with the EA governance model will be documented.

Meetings and Consultations

Client meetings, sharing of progress and work in progress deliverables.

 

 

Completion of Deliverables is contingent upon the allocated number of days. In the event that the allocated time is exhausted before all Deliverables are finalised, additional time will be required to complete outstanding Deliverables, subject to mutual agreement and any necessary adjustments to the project scope and budget.

The Supplier recognises that during provision of the Services, the Customer's expectations may naturally change. The Supplier will endeavour to inform the Customer at the earliest opportunity, if it is felt that expected Deliverables cannot be completed within the allocated number of days. 

Service Delivery

This information remains unchanged from SoW ADDA006, and is provided here for ease of clarity.

The Customer may utilise the fifteen (15) days of professional services at any time until 31st May 2024. When scheduling the Services, the Customer will provide Truly Intelligent Business with ten (10) working days notice of the need for the Services. However, Truly Intelligent Business will always endeavour to supply the services at shorter notice if required.

In Scope

  1. We will work with any number of government entities, as directed by the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Enablement.
  2. We will consult with the people who are relevant to our work.
  3. We will consult existing government documentation and materials which are relevant to our work.
  4. We will transfer information and knowledge to relevant people at the Customer and other government entities.
  5. We will implement the data governance framework for one data use case at one government entity.

Out of Scope

This information remains unchanged from SoW ADDA006, and is provided here for ease of clarity.

  1. As we will not have access to people's diaries, we will not schedule consultations and meetings. We will be reliant upon the support of the Customer to schedule time with relevant people. (see Risks and Dependencies)
  2. Acquiring and setting up room environments and facilities in Abu Dhabi for online workshops and meetings . (see Risks and Dependencies)
  3. We will not be responsible for resolving disagreements amongst stakeholders or participants. If disagreements arise we will make every effort to swiftly resolve them. But we will be ultimately dependent upon a Senior Responsible Owner at the Customer to resolve disagreements which threaten to delay or block progress. (see Risks and Dependencies)
  4. Provision of services beyond the period for which this Statement of Work is valid.
  5. Other services or deliverables not explicitly specified in the Statement of Work.

Risks

  1. There is a risk that required people from the Customer or other government entities may not be sufficiently available.
    • Mitigation: None. It is essential that required people are available to participate within the timeframes of the work.
  2. There is a risk that required people may not be willing to participate.
    • Mitigation: Relevant leaders will motivate people to participate, and Truly Intelligent Business will answer objections and encourage participation where possible.
  3. There is a risk that consultant availability is interrupted by unforeseen circumstances such as ill-health or family emergencies.
    • Mitigation: Truly Intelligent Business will provide an alternative consultant where possible and make every effort to minimise disruption. It's possible that work may be delayed.
  4. There is a risk that the availability of people and information from the Customer and other government entities are interrupted by unforeseen circumstances.
    • Mitigation: A Senior Responsible Owner at the Customer will make all efforts to minimise disruption to the work. Truly Intelligent Business will make all efforts to accommodate changes to the timescales of the work. Ultimately, it may be that work has to stop until the circumstances have been resolved. Recommencement of the work will be subject to the availability of required people.
  5. There is a risk that the Deliverables cannot be completed within the allocated Services.
    • Mitigation: In the event that the allocated time is exhausted before all Deliverables are finalised, additional time will be required to complete outstanding Deliverables, subject to mutual agreement and any necessary adjustments to the project scope and budget..

Dependencies

This information remains unchanged from SoW ADDA006, and is provided here for ease of clarity.

  1. Truly Intelligent Business will require access to and time with stakeholders, subject matter experts and technical staff from the Customer and other government entities, sufficient for those people to supply all required knowledge, information, documentation and participation.
  2. Truly Intelligent Business will require participation from relevant leadership people at the Customer and other government entities, to provide, comment on, and validate required information.
  3. Truly Intelligent Business will require support from relevant leadership people at the Customer and other government entities, to motivate other stakeholders and participants to engage with the work in a timely and positive manner.
  4. Truly Intelligent Business will require someone at the Customer to carry out supporting tasks such as booking time with stakeholders and participants, planning and organising workshops, and managing communications.
  5. Truly Intelligent Business will require someone at the Customer to adopt the role of Senior Responsible Owner, and act as a single point of contact for raising and resolving any issues that may occur.
  6. Truly Intelligent Business will require information about how the current state of in-scope capabilities, compares to previously documented departmental capabilities.
  7. Truly Intelligent Business will require documentation standards for LeanIX.
  8. The Customer and the in-scope government entity will require Truly Intelligent Business consultants to be available on regular Gulf Standard Time working hours.
  9. Everybody involved in the work must be able to work collaboratively online via Microsoft Teams and Miro.
  10. Truly Intelligent Business requires that all information is provided and all communications are conducted in English.
  11. Any change control processes which may be invoked during work on the Proposed Activities, must be facilitated and managed by the Customer.

 

Change Management

This information remains unchanged from SoW ADDA006, and is provided here for ease of clarity.

It may become necessary to amend this Statement of Work for reasons including, but not limited to, the following:

  1. Revision of the engagement scope.
  2. Changes in the working environment.
  3. Unavailability of access to systems, required resources or subject matter experts.
  4. Significant delays arising through factors beyond the engagement scope.

In the event where it is necessary to amend this Statement of Work, Truly Intelligent Business or the Customer will communicate a change request. Any change request will be analysed by both parties, the change impacts will be discussed and the change request will be approved or rejected with agreement of both parties. When a change is approved, an addendum to this Statement of Work will be created.


Location

The Supplier will work remotely through any DGE approved communication software like Team, Zooms and others.

Any changes to work which require onsite travel to the Customer site, has to be approved by the G42 Project team as a Change Request (CR) based on the mutually agreed travel policy of either DGE or Core42.

Accordingly, onsite travel related expenses need to be captured in the Change Request Form by the Supplier before submitting the CR to Core42 for the onsite travel. Following approval of the Change Request (CR) by the of G42 project team, the Supplier will initiate the onsite travel.

A separate Purchase Order (PO) will be issued to the Supplier to reimburse travel related expenses based on the approved Change Request (CR) by Core42 project team. On receipt of a seperate PO, the Supplier will raise an invoice for the reimbursement along with the original copies of the travel expenses documents within the limit of mutually agreed onsite travel policies.

Whenever possible, Truly Intelligent Business will operate on Gulf Standard Time (GST). Truly Intelligent Business operates a flexible working policy, which allows our consultants to operate from the best locations for them to deliver the best results for our clients, whilst also minimising the costs and environmental impacts of unnecessary travel. Work may therefore take place at other locations with prior approval of the Customer.

 

Pricing and Notices

This Statement of Work is an addendum, and inherits the Fees, Payment Terms, and Termination clauses of SoW ADDA006.
